Five-A-Day
DVD
Cover Design
At
the end of the project all your work, resources and research will be saved
to a DVD. This will be your e-portfolio structure including all the linked
files. This DVD will need an outer cover design.
Use
the information and the images you have already gathered from previous
tasks to make the cover interesting.
Firstly
create your design on paper. You will need to mark off areas and annotate
what will be included
in that area.
Open
Photoshop and size to 27.3cm width and 18.4cm length. Start with a colour
for the background and Filter it with a particular pattern. The spine
area is in the centre, ensure you leave approx 1.2cm for this.
Insert
images and text. Give a heading title and a large image for the front
page. Add smaller images and text details to the back page. Highlight
all the things the DVD will contain. Turn the cover 90 degrees and add
the title to the spine.
Check
the DVD cover carefully and make sure that everything that explains the
work you have done is displayed to read.
Make use of feedback from suitable test users to ensure that the DVD covers
will appeal the reader and persuade them to see what it is all about.

Save the
DVD covers for your eportfolio.
